Leverkusen and Germany international Jonathan Tah is not on Bayern Munich’s radar, the Bavarians’ sporting director has confirmed.

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has confirmed that Germany international Jonathan Tah is not on the club’s radar this summer despite the player’s contract with Leverkusen coming to an end.

Bayern Munich tried to sign Tah last summer but were unable to agree a fee with Leverkusen and the move never materialised, with speculation the Bavarians will return to the market for the 28-year-old centre-back at the end of the season, with Barcelona สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น also linked.

However, Freund insisted that Tah is no longer on the radar of the Bavarian giants, saying: ‘The name Tah is not on our radar at the moment. Our defence is at a high level and it is not something Bayern will consider next season.’

Previous reports have claimed that Tah has opted to join Barcelona at the end of the season, although no agreement has been reached, while Azulgrana sporting director Anderson Deco has admitted it would not be easy to sign the 28-year-old centre-back unless the club offload a player in his position this summer.

There is still some uncertainty around the future of Araujo, with various reports emerging about potential release clauses in his new deal, and Deco confirming that if he is unhappy, he will be allow to leave the club. If Araujo does move, Tah seems a likely target. The key to his future regarding the Blaugrana could be when Barcelona find out Araujo’s decision, and when Tah decides he wants to accept an offer. The 28-year-old will no doubt have offers beyond the Blaugrana.
